Back in 2013, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph joined forces to craft the captivating thriller, Drishyam, which enthralled viewers and later inspired a Hindi remake featuring Ajay Devgn in 2015. Now, building upon the triumph of Drishyam 2, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are all set to conclude the suspenseful saga with Drishyam 3. Interestingly, Mohanlal and Ajay will shoot the film simultaneously, ensuring an enthralling, "spoiler-free" experience for the audience.
According to a report from Pinkvilla, the highly anticipated Drishyam 3 is currently in the development stage. The creators are collaboratively working on both the Hindi and Malayalam versions of the film. A source revealed that Abhishek Pathak and his team of writers have come up with a core plot that has been well-received by Jeethu Joseph and his team. The idea originated from the Hindi version of Drishyam and is now being developed into a screenplay for Drishyam 3.
The plan is to shoot Drishyam 3 simultaneously and release it nationwide on the same date. Mohanlal will reprise his role as George Kutty in the Malayalam version, while the rest of India will witness Ajay Devgn's journey as Vijay Salgaonkar. If all goes well, the producers of the Telugu Drishyam might also join in for the simultaneous release.
The source emphasized that the strength of Drishyam lies in its suspenseful narrative. To preserve the element of surprise, the team aims to provide the best experience to the audience without giving away the twists and turns. Drishyam 3 is planned to be the final installment of the franchise, offering a thrilling experience without any prior knowledge of what's to come.
