Krishna, more commonly known as Krishnudu, is an actor in the Telugu film industry. He has mostly done supporting roles until Vinayakudu, where he played the lead male role. Krishnudu was born as Alluri Krishnam Raju in a Kshatriya Raju Zamindari family and brought up in Razole Taluk, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He is known for his comedy roles. His grandfather was Alluri Varha Venkata Suryanarayana Raju, Zamindar of Chinchinada. In the 1970s, as a result of the Land Ceiling act introduced by the then Prime Minister of India - Indira Gandhi, Krishnudu's family lost 4,500 acres of land, which was the largest amount of land in Andhra Pradesh.
He acted in character roles in movies like Modati Cinema, Shock, Party. He gained recognition with his role as a senior in the movie Happy Days. He later made notable appearances in Vaana, Yuvatha, Oye! He acted in a lead role in Vinayakudu which was about a love story between a fat software person and cool bubly girl, this was a decent hit. His other movie as hero is Villagelo Vinayakudu, was also a decent hit. He appeared in Arya 2, Ye Maaya Chesaave, Sneha Geetam, Aamayakudu, Katha Screenplay Darshakatvam Appalaraju, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, Gopala Gopala, Hello before he slowed down in acting.
He also appeared in TV series like Yuva on Maa Tv and Gangato Ram Babu on Zee Telugu.
He is currently affiliated with the YSRCP party.
